50th Video!

Hi Everyone,

Here (finally) is the link to the 50th Anniversary Video Peace Corps Cambodia made for Cambodian TV!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKtgSUpS31c

The whole thing is in Khmer but I’m mostly talking about the project I was doing (health education games that focus on nutrition and hygiene and making signs about road safety) and saying how friendly everyone in my village has been while I am learning Khmer (not how awesome my bike is, Scott)

thanks to Mom for finding it!

Off to enjoy my air-conditioned room and dream about the hot shower I have to look forward to in the morning!

xoxo,

B

  1. Great video. You speak Khmer like a native! It was wonderful to see you in action. Your aunt and I are very proud of you.

  2. Brenda,

I am so incredibly proud of you!! I had tears in my eyes listening to you speak Khmer and watching you give so much of yourself to your new friends. You look as beautiful as always.

Lots and lots of love from boring old Tucson, where we all now speak Yiddish fluently (so there!)

    xoxo,

    Uncle Jeff

  3. Hey Girl,
Didn’t understand a word, and it was wonderful to see you. You look fabulous. Your Khmer made me think you have spoken the language forever. Not that I would know the difference, but it sounded as good as what the narrarator was saying. What a pleasure to see you working with the people. Okay, so your bike is very cool.

Thanks as well to your mom for locating the you tube account of the 50th anniversary.

    Stay Cool!!
    Love,
    Rosie
