Coming back to site after having such a luxurious vacation has been like waking up from a lovely dream, but it’s a sunny day so waking up isn’t so bad.
Traveling in Cambodia is quite an ordeal, I went to a province about as far South from Phnom Penh as I am North of Phnom Penh. It was quite a trek but totally worth it. The bus to PP was about 6-7 hours and then to Koh Kong was another 6. Because of this I had to break my trip up both ways with a night in Phnom Penh. It was great, I saw a lot of other volunteers, did some shopping, and ate yummy food.
When I finally got back to site yesterday afternoon I was exhausted. I was happy to be home in my own room after 5 nights of various hotels. Today was full of laundry, telling everyone where I had been and explaining why I am leaving again on Friday!
Times like this I miss having a washer and dryer.
